SECNY Federal Credit Union is currently looking for a Facilities Manager who will be responsible for actively maintaining, repairing, and improving the facilities of SECNY FCU.  This position requires the facilities manager to work Monday thru Friday; however, depending on the severity of the issue they may need to be called in after-hours.  This position requires a self-starter and highly motivated individual that can work well with others in the community.  Travel will be required between facilities and to/from certain events and/or vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all facilities, tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, sump pumps, generators, HVACs, etc. owned by the credit union.
  • Executes general building repairs and improvements from the very small to more involved, such as: replacing doors and doorknobs, painting, drywall repair and spackling, basic plumbing, basic electrical including bulbs and ballasts, roof repairs, generator tune-ups, cypher locks, replacing batteries in the vaults, trash pickup, disaster recovery and maintaining the retention log for shredding and shred events held at the credit union.
  • Responsible for pricing, scheduling, contracting with, and overseeing service providers for designated tasks that require specific expertise or equipment such as cleaning company, HVAC maintenance, sewer cleanouts, mowing, plowing, fire alarm inspections, bug spraying, parking lot repairs- sealing, striping and crack fill, floor stripping and waxing.
  • Responsible for spring/summer/fall duties such as painting of interior and exterior of buildings, scheduled improvement, emergency repairs and maintenance, week spraying, generator, cleanouts, drive-thru cleanouts, daylight savings time clock changes, thermostat battery replacement schedule, sidewalk repairs and trimming bushes.
  • Responsible for winter duties across all facilities such as generator snow cleanout, replacing HVAC air filters and scheduling maintenance as necessary, etc.
  • Schedule emergency repairs to buildings
  • Responsible for all record-keeping including but not limited to branch maintenance calendars, repair/installation logs, updated vendor contacts, etc.
  • Provides periodic updates to Senior Management on building statuses and keeps apprised of opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Maintains highest standards in facility care for our staff and members- including appearance, functionality, accessibility, and safety.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, web browsers, and email.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
