Savings Accounts:
When you join SECNY, a regular share/savings account is opened for you. Your savings are called "shares" because they represent shares of ownership. A minimum balance of $5 must be maintained to keep the account open.
Savings Account Types:
- Regular Share Account
- A savings account that allows you to earn interest (with a minimum $100 balance).
- Club Accounts
- Specialized savings accounts designed to fit your needs. Accounts may be opened to save for Christmas, vacations, etc.
- Certificate Accounts
- A range of certificates that allow you to invest for short or long term earnings.
- Individual Retirement Accounts
- Secure your retirement funds in an open IRA activity account or IRA/Certificate. Check online, call, or stop by the Credit Union for current rates.
You may manage your savings accounts in any of the following convenient ways:
- In Person
- The staff at your Credit Union is always happy to serve you personally at our office during regular business hours.
- Virtual Branch
- Access your account(s) online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with SECNY's Virtual Branch. View your account history, transfer funds and more at your convenience!
- At ATMs
- InTouchsm, Sharenet, Allpoint and AccelExchange allow SECNY members unlimited, free access to their account(s) at over 43,000 ATM's nationwide!
- By Mail
- You may choose to make deposits by mail.
- By Payroll Deduction
- Any amount you choose can be deducted from your paycheck and deposited into your credit union account. THIS SERVICE IS FREE. Have your member number and SECNY's Routing and Transit Number (221381304) readily available.
- By Direct Deposit
- Automatic deposit of payroll, Social Security, New York State Teachers Retirement and numerous others. Have your member number and SECNY's Routing and Transit Number (221381304) readily available.
